Large one screen theatre located across from the Florence Mall. The Crown Theatre was opened on March 27, 1969 with James Garner in “Support Your local Sheriff”. At one time the seats went all the way to the screen. You could rest your feet on them, but the fire marshall later made them take several rows of seats out.
It was closed in 1981, but reopened on May 25, 1983 with “Return of the Jedi”. Taken over by United Artists, they closed in on August 16, 1994.
