The Hippodrome Theater was opened November 24, 1913 with vaudeville. It featured many vaudeville acts and movies. I remember my older brother taking me to see a vaudeville show and a re-release of “The Invisible Man” sometime before 1949. Around that time the theater began showing only movies–second run.
The theatre closed in March of 1950 and was razed in 1956 for–guess what–a parking lot.
