Closed in 1992 and rebuilt and reopened by Malco on July 4th, 2001. Another ad posted.

General Cinema opened the Raleigh Springs Mall Cinema on November 24th, 1971. Poor quality grand opening ad posted.

It appears in this case that Malco was a victim of a dying mall. Big empty malls are really creepy places, and business must have been affected.
