Located in the Rossville district to the south of Chattanoga on the Tennessee-Georgia border. The Ritz Theatre was opened on January 17, 1927 with William Boyd in “Jim the Conqueror”. It was closed in 1955 and has been demolished.

This 1938 life photo shows the Ritz in Chattanooga, I believe. Although the caption is Rossville, GA, the photo is part of a series taken in Chattanooga in November 1938, during an appearance by President Roosevelt.

The Ritz theatre opened on January 17th, 1927. Grand opening ad posted. Mark it is demolished.

Newspaper listings for the Ritz ended in 1955.
