Small single screen drive-in located in a grassy field out in the country. Snack bar. I visited it right before highway construction forced it to close in 2003. Saw Mel Gibson in “Signs”, which may have been last movie shown there.

J.CLARK owned this theatre. It closed and was for sale in 2003. If you look at the photos above, it still had it’s projectors in December 2005, which surprised me! The screen had holes in it, which didn’t surprise me.
James “Teaberry” Clark and his wife Ruth. I worked there, ran the projectors with him and spliced the films. My Wife and I mowed it up until a year or so before it closed. Grass Looks Great! LOL. Great People.
I got to visit this drive-in back in 1992 for an odd double-feature of “Sleepwalkers” – a mostly forgotten Stephen King-scripted film and “Basic Instinct.” I was in Waynesville pretty much by accident, so it was a pleasant little surprise to have this theater out there in the country. One drawback however was that it was fairly close to a cow pasture, which means if the wind blew in the wrong direction, the aroma was pretty bad. It didn’t affect the experience much though.
has since been demolished! the ramps and the foundation of the projectors booth are all that remain. please update!
