The XIT Drive-In opened in August 1952. It was still open in 1970. In 1988 the only part remaining was its sign in a fenced cow pasture.

Around 300 feet South of CR310 on Hwy 385 was a drive in. Older images on GE provides a clearer view. Was located East of the Hwy.

XIT stands for “Ten In Texas” – that’s how large the XIT ranch was! JBH
….it contained all or part of ten (X) counties – JBH
From 1988 a photo of the XIT’s name and entrance sign which at one time housed the marquee.

A closer address is US-385 & Co Rd 310, Littlefield, TX.
The property sat just to the south of the intersection on the east side of US-385. Today, it is private property, but you can still make out the remnants of the ramps in the back.
It’s now reverted back to farmland
