Sunset Theatre

The Steve’s Theatre was opened on June 2, 1940 with Dorothy Lamour in Johnny Apollo". by 1951. On April 9, 1948 it was renamed Sunset Theatre. It was still open in 1957 and was later closed. It has been closed for a while. By November 2023 restoration had begun with a view to reopen the Sunset Theatre again.

The theater has a new owner who is planning on renovation. The marquee is lit and auditorium being cleaned. Pictures in photo section from the theater’s Facebook page. Status should be closed, renovating.

The Steve’s Theatre opened its doors on June 2, 1940 with Dorothy Lamour in “Johnny Apollo” along with a few shorts and a Fox Movietone Newsreel. It was renamed the Sunset Theatre on April 9, 1948.
