- Oct 3, 2008 — North Iowa Cinema Closes
The Cinema V was located at the Southbridge Mall. It was opened by Central States Theatres on May 23, 1985 and operated by them until 2005. In 2005 ownership went to CEC Theatres. The seating capacity was listed at 1,126. It was closed on September 30, 2008.
It was announced in late-November 2025 that the Cinema V Theatres would be reopening in late-Spring of 2026 as the Southbridge Theater. An approximate date is hoped to be May 23, 2026 when initially only one screen with 125-seats will open screening 2nd-run movies.

Did this close down in October, 2008? Showtimes not listed.
Most definitely closed. Phone is disconnected and the Southbridge Mall directory does not include a listing for this theater.
