Sadly, this entire block has been demolished.
During the 1950’s and 1960’s the manager of the theatre was “Dear Abby’s” father. The projectionist of the IOWA was O.T. Jaynes, the secretary of the projectionist union. He also operated the projectors at the Orpheum, Hollywood and the Capitol.
