The theater is empty again as of September 2026; Isis Music Hall closed in 2022. The Isis is being reopened as a concert restaurant venue. They have installed a beautiful marquee and a duplicate of the original sign that reads Isis. Will upload a photo as soon as I can.
Boxoffice said, in its January 8, 1938, issue: “Asheville’s new $50,000 theatre, the Isis, held its formal opening December 27. The theatre was built by the Publix-Bamford Theatres and has a seating capacity of 555.”
The Isis was opened in January 1938 by Publix Theaters.
