Ralph Todd’s sale of the Diana Theatre and its equipment to Willis J. Ford of Peoria was noted in the December 11, 1948 issue of Boxoffice. Ford was slated to take control of the house around January 1.
January 6, 1943 grand opening reboot as the Diana Theatre with “Talk of the Town” in photos.
Same theater? The Independent Film Journal reported on March 7, 1953 that “Bill Ford, owner-mgr. of the Bland Theatre, Blandinsville, Ill., has been made mgr. of Kerasotes’ 66 Drive-In Theatre at Springfield, Ill.”
I would pay $5 for a framed picture of the Bland marquee. ;)
