The Bonham Drive-In was opened by Cole Theatres on July 11, 1950 with John Wayne in “Three Godfathers”. It had a capacity for 304 cars, and there were 54 seats for walk-in patrons. It was closed in April 1987.

H.S. Cole launched the Bonham Drive-In on July 11, 1950 with John Wayne in the “Three Godfathers” for its grand opening plus fireworks.
