The Majestic 6 was opened in July 1995. It was operated by Majestic Cinemas. It was closed February/March 2025.

Opened in July 1995.
The Majestic 6 was the first movie theater in Bonham after the little town of 10,000 was left without a movie theater for eight years and three months. After the American Theatre closed on August 5, 1984, the Bonham Drive-In remained as the only movie theater in town until April 1987. Otherwise, people were forced to either go to Sherman or Denison to see movies during the eight-year hiatus (or a decade-hiatus for indoor people).
This cinema has closed around June 25th, 2025 according to Facebook chats. Website’s domain not renewed.
The last time we received showtimes for this theater was in late February 2025. The marquee as seen in a March 2026 Google Street View capture was for movies that were playing in February, so I’m pretty confident that it closed in the February or March 2025 timeframe.
The posters are also removed in the March 2026 street view as well, except for one or two. The reason of closure is former employees and reports suggest the theater was sold, but promised renovations did not occur. Contracts to receive films were cancelled, and the new ownership failed to obtain necessary licensing.
