The new dinner w/movie policy will begin on July 30, 2012. No real details yet.
From looking at the AMC information on their website, they appear to have 2 types of service: CinemaSuites, which is 21 & over only with recliners, and Fork & Screen which is 18 & over with children accompanied by parent allowed.
This is a good location for this as they can easily control access to that entire wing of screens.
There is a LOT of construction going on at Easton right now. A huge new “flagship” Victoria’s Secret, and new Express and remodeling of the Brio restaurant are all ongoing, probably trying to get done by the summer shopping season.
@Mark_L, sounds like they’re moving ahead on their “Fork & Screen” concept at full speed.
I was out at Easton today and it looks like there is a lot of construction going on at the theatre. The entire right hall of the theatre with 13 screens is being remodeled, leaving the left 13 screens and the four large middle screens (including the minImax) for regular screenings. Looking at the daily screening list they are running only on 17 screens at this time.
The Columbus Dispatch reported on 3/2/2012 that AMC is planning on opening a restaurant at this location. Perhaps it will be the “Fork and Screen” concept they have in place at some other AMC locations. It would be easy to convert one of the side halls with 13 screens to a concept like this, and still have 17 regular screens.
Digital IMAX installed for the run of STAR TREK in May, 2009. 35mm equipment removed, 2-digital projectors installed.
Arnold was involved and donated an Austrian Army tank, which was stored west of the main shopping area. I believe the tank was donated to Mott’s Military Museum in Groveport, OH, just SE of metro Columbus.
Governor Arnold of California, I think, had something to do with the ownership or partial ownership of Planet Hollywood because he came here for the grand opening for a dedication speech. This is located on the north side of the shopping complex facing Morse Road.
The theatre is on the second floor of the Easton “Train Station” which sits at the center of this large entertainment complex, which features shops, live comedy presentations, and many fine restaurants. If you might want to buy it, someone in the Easton area will want to sell it!
Theatre has 13 screens in the far left and right sections, with the 4 largest screens in the center.
The IMAX unit is in one of the larger rooms, #14. The screen is typical for the MPX 3-D units designed for a standard multiplex, about 50' wide. Sound quality is very, very good. The room still has its 35mm projector.
This is a very high grossing theatre, with people coming from all over Ohio to shop and be entertained. Presentation quality is usually very good.
One oddity about the place is that it was originally built without water fountains.
This theater opened in 1999 when the Easton Towne Center opened.They used to call it Planet Movies when Planet Hollywood was still in business.
Typical very nice AMC megaplex with digital sound and stadium seating.
I drive in from almost 70 miles away once in a while to watch movies,and browse around Easton.
“300” is currently playing here in IMAX.
