The Brandenton 8 Cinemas was opened by Litchfield Theatres on December 16, 1988. In 1990 it was taken over by Cobb Theatres and renamed Cinema 8. In 1997 it was taken over by Regal. It was closed in 2001.

Grand opening ad
This was taken over by Cobb theatres in 1990 and renamed Cinema 8. It was renamed Bradenton 8 in 1992 and taken over by Regal Cinemas in 1997 who closed it in 2001.
The opening was delayed.
