Opened by Carmike Cinemas on August 11, 2000. It had been taken over by AMC by January 2017.

This opened on August 11th, 2000, the same day that Carmike declared bankruptcy. I uploaded its grand opening ad to this cinema’s photo page.
This location was never a typical Carmike you walked in and it was NICE.. the layout was over the top, and had a multi level projection area.
The upkeep was horrible as it did open the day the company filed bankruptcy, and the area it is located in, the FHP officers hired to do security wouldn’t even bring their family’s to watch a movie in.
things being destroyed daily people scaling the walls between the stadium stairs and removing speakers from the walls and taking them out the back doors…
I could go on and on, but I am sure now that it has been open 13 years it has been run into a typical Carmike craphole…
Carmike Theaters are not nice and are run on a shoestring budget.
AMC has changed the name of this theater to AMC Bradenton 20
