Friday Harbor is located on the eastern shore of San Juan Island. San Juan Island is situated between Canada’s Vancouver Island and the Washington State mainland. This opened in 1915 as the Fribor Theatre
In the 1940’s (Film Daily Yearbook 1941 through 1950) there was a 265 seat Island Theatre located in Friday Harbor. I don’t know if the Island Theatre and the Palace Theatre are the same theatre or if one replaced the other.

According to the San Juan Historical Society’s “Historic Friday Harbor On Foot” booklet, the Palace Theatre was built in 1915. At that time it was called the Fribor Theatre.
