The first new build for the Regal Entertainment Group in New York this millenium, the Ithaca Mall Stadium 14 opened July 20, 2007 at the Shops at Ithaca Mall (formerly the Pyramid Mall at Ithaca). This theatre, constructed on the site of former mall anchor tennant Ames, replaces the quite aged Pyramid Mall 10 that Regal aquired from Hoyts Cinemas in 2002.

Regal’s press release stated the theater takes up 63,000 square feet, and one side of the mall. There are 2600 total seats, with 12 auditoriums of 209 seats and two of 300 seats (which would total more so some auditoriums might be smaller). There are 3 hallways of theaters, with the larger theaters along the center hallway. One projectionist can operate all 14 auditoriums. The concession stand has 10 cashier stations. A party room flanks the entrance.
From what I could tell (assuming the side of the theatre I wasn’t on was identical to the side I was on) using posted fire capacities: There are 4 theatres (1,6,9,14) with 110 seats, 4 theatres (2,5,10,13) with 135 seats, 4 theatres (3,4,11,12) with 205 seats, and 2 (7,8) with 420 seats (which is roughly 2600).
Birmingham, Alabama, architectural firm RLS Design Group designed Regal’s Ithaca Mall Stadium 14 Theatres. Their web site has a slide show with three photos.
This opened on July 20th, 2007. Grand opening ad in the photo section.
Found an article on the 2007 opening with a photo of the lobby from the Ithaca Journal. Still looking for any pics of the original Hoyts 10.
Added interior pics of November 4 visit including theater 8.
The venue has made the latest Regal closure list; no firm closing date is associated with that.

Whoa closing the theater in a college town? They have a 5 screen indie but that won’t service IC, Cornell and locals.
