This cinema is a totally new cinema which opened June 16, 1995, not to be confused with the old single screen St. Louis Park Theatre.
It was run by Mann Theatres of Minnesota. The St. Louis Park Cinema 6 was closed on May 20, 2018.

A PDF available from the web site of St.Paul architectural firm Vanney Associates lists 25 theater projects designed by Robert F. Vanney, including an undated six-screen multiplex at St.Louis Park. Vanney designed several projects for Mann Theatres, so this was probably one of them.
