News About This Theater
The Regal Marketplace at Oaks Stadium 24 opened on April 9, 1999. It is off Route 422 and Egypt Road and is northwest of Philadelphia, in Montgomery County near Chester County. The theater is in a huge parking lot. Nearby, there are big box retail stores. The exterior of the theater is done in a neo-Moderne style. The 24 auditoriums all have stadium seating and digital sound. It was closed on May 4, 2023.
Taken over in July 2023 by new operators, it reopened in August 2023 as the Oaks Center Cinema, with 12-screens and some bowling alleys. By 2026 14 screens were open.

Well, the good news is that this theater, and a few others from the aforementioned list, has been spared for the time being.
The Regal Oaks 24 was able to survive for a short while, but today is the last day it will be open. RIP Regal Marketplace at Oaks 24!
Maybe some other chain will take this over
Appears to be still open per: https://www.bigscreen.com/Marquee.php?theater=5781.
But not according to Fandango, or Regal’s site.
Reopening under new management in August with fewer screens and bowling alleys installed.

A former Regal Cinemas movie theater that closed earlier this year in Montgomery County has been acquired by a local company that plans to reopen it, offering movie screenings, arcade games and laser tag.
The theater, at 180 Mill Road, was purchased by Valley Forge Promotions, which also operates the American Treasure Tour Museum and Arnold’s Fun Center in the Marketplace at Oaks complex, The Daily Local reported.

Please rename Oaks Center Cinema and it’s running 12 screens. The theatres that are in use is screens 13-24 and Theatres 14 and 24 are Superscreen. THis theatre is open seating and according to photos on google, they are using Regal old regular seating. I uploaded the Regal grand opening ad in photos section.
As of today, 14 screens are open, 3 with recliners and 2 with dbox. Only the 3 houses that have recliners are RSVP
yes, 14 screens here. DBox available here, sat in a theatre with no assigned seating. It was interesting to watch some people walk in the theatre and look for an assigned seat. This was for a movie about the Flyers/Russian game in 1976. Very well done documentary!
Entering - there is a skeleton seated at the box office window dressed for the season. You checked in for your movie and picked up food at the concession stand ( which can of course be pre-ordered)
The sound was a bit on the loud side, especially during a trailer they were showing for a one night revival of a 16mm screening of King Kong. Also shown were other revival titles and upcoming releases. Wonder if the audience in attendance was around when the game was played they felt that had to turn it up for the older folks. LOL.
Good movie and good experience - the complex though is about an hour so doubt it will become a weekend visit.
Oh the theatre complex is in Oaks PA. that is per the map on their site and the google maps directions I used in getting there. please to update.
