The Haven Theater was opened prior to 1950. It was operated by the Imperial Theaters Co. chain in the early-1950’s. The president and general manager was L.F. Haven. The Haven Theater was still open in the early-1980’s but was later destroyed by a fire.
Imperial Theaters Go. also operated the Starlite Drive-In in Brinkley.

I lived in a large house with a big wrap-around porch at the corner of Ash and New Orleans in the mid 60’s…there was a lot between my house and the theatre. Now the bank occupies the corner lot, and was owned by the Rusher family…I haven’t been by there in 30 years.
Still open in the early-1980s, but unfortunately ended its life with a fire.
