The optimists thought this July 1951 ad represented the next stage of the Barry Theater’s exhibition history in downtown Pittsburgh. But, sadly, it was the end of the line for the nearly 40-year old venue. The air conditioner, seating, railings, and other elements actually went to the Craft Avenue Theater / Pittsburgh Playhouse.
