The Plaza Cinema opened on January 26, 1979 with “Goin' South.” Mayor Charles Fulgham cut the ribbon honoring Delta Drive-In and Plaza Cinema owners George Twiner and Ronald Potter. It was constructed to be twinned when necessary. That happened a year later when the Plaza became the Plaza Twin Cinema on February 8, 1980 with “Star Trek” and “Apocalypse Now.” The venue was operating almost unchanged other than digital exhibition into 2026 - and was offered for sale while operating

The website at http://ptcyc.homestead.com/Showtimes.html hasn’t been updated and showtimes are offline for this cinema. Must had been closed in 2011.
