The Isis Theatre appears in the 1941 Film Daily Yearbook, but is not listed in the 1949 Film Daily Yearbook. It appears again in the 1951 volume. It appears to have been an independent house unaffiliated with the Interstate Circuit or any other Texas based chain, making it one of two such large houses in Wichita Falls (the other was the Texan Theatre).
It was located downtown so as to cater to the rapidly expanding population of Sheppard Air Force Base in World War II and catered to African American audiences.
