The Starlight Drive-In opened August 18, 1948 with Humphrey Bogart in “Dead Reckoning”. Operated by Brandt Theatres in the early-1950’s. Built on what was originally farmland belonging to the Van Cortlandt Manor. It could accommodate 500 cars. Had a Little Dipper Snack Bar. Showed movies twice daily. Closed in 1973. Has since been demolished and replaced by a supermarket.
