Originally the Carmody Theatre, operated by D.T. Carmody. He continued to operate it, together with Claude Kelley and they renamed it Capitol Theatre on January 25, 1923, screening Mary Pickford in “Tess of the Storm Country”. It was equipped with a Wurlitzer theatre organ opus 608 style “B”.
The Capitol Theatre was demolished in the early-1960’s and a bank was built on the site.

This listing should be updated. The theater was demolished in the early 60s and replaced with a bank and parking lot. The space is now occupied by the Bank of America.
The CAPITOL was originally the CARMODY Theatre.
I used to go to the Capitol as a child. Wonderful screen treatments. The draperies and lighting were magic.
The correct address for this theatre was 1033 NW Wall St.
The Capitol was demolished and, as noted above, a Bank of America now occupies the site.
The Capitol theatre opened on January 25th, 1923. Grand opening ad posted.
