Opened around 1914 as the Princess Theatre. It was converted into a twin screen cinema at a later stage, and re-named Royal Twin Cinema.
In early-2009, after a change of management, it reverted back to the name Princess Theatre. TBA Theatres closed the Princess Theatre in September 2011.
The Princess Theatre was badly damaged by a fire on December 14, 2013. The remains were demolished in 2020.

The “Royal Twin” was opened and closed August ‘07 – October '07. TBA THEATRES purchased the theatre this year and reopened February 6, 2009. The theatre has been renamed The Princess Theatre.
As of 1942, the Princess in Berlin was part of the Maine and New Hampshire Theatres Co. circuit of Boston.
TBA Theatres closed the Princess for economic reasons in Sept 2011 according to an article in the Berlin Daily Sun which was referenced in the THSA Readerboard news line.
