The Hollywood Theater was opened in 1941 in a long, narrow, plain-looking stand-alone building. It had a small marquee with a tall vertical sign above spelling out “Hollywood. At some time later it was renamed Harbour Theater and in 1990 was converted to the Bay Area Harbour Playhouse for live entertainment.
