Slight mistake opened on January 16th, 1970 along with the Sand Box in N. Hollywood.
The structure at 1717 Wilcox has been razed. Only the concrete footprint and a pole mounted sign for the defunct Vegan restaurant remain.
The Tom & Cat adult cinema opened on January 23rd, 1970 with “Streets of Paris” and closed in 1971. Grand opening ad posted
I try and remeber that JuliaG.
teh green m&ms make you horny
I wonder what the color was when it was a porn house? Not that bright green, I assume.
How can a vegan restaurant get a B? Don’t the rats get frustrated and leave when there’s nothing to eat?
Here are two photos taken today. No tempeh for me as the place was closed.

Ah, thank you for the clarification.
monika; I believe you are thinking of the Tomkat Theatre on Santa Monica Boulvard, listed on this site here /theaters/2361/
I thought it was/is called the TomCat? And I believe that it is still standing, possibly still in operation.
This was one of those reatil stores turned into a adult theatre, it was not a true theatre.
