The Paramount Theatre opened on June 16, 1949 with a seating capacity for 839. It has since been triplexed. It was closed March 28, 2016. By spring of 2018 it had become a Tim Hortons coffee house.

Hi all, I am new to the site and looking for help. I am a researcher on a book dealing with cinema in British Columbia. Famous Players ran this theatre in its earlier years, at least until the late-1980s.
This theatre was purpose built by Famous Players Canadian Corporation. The Famous Players booking department referred to this as one of their “up country” locations in British Columbia!!!
Status should be changed to Closed. The Paramount is no longer listed at the Landmark website, as the theatre closed its doors on March 28 with plans to redevelop it as a restaurant and possibly other retail (stories below):
