Built by the then newly restructured ABC Cinemas chain, this opened as the 8-screen ABC on 5th December 1997. It was taken over by Odeon Theatres in 2000 and re-named Odeon. Seating capacities in the screens range from 393, down to 193.

Nottm Evening Post 26/09/2019: A new IMAX screen almost as tall as four double decker buses is coming to a north Notts cinema. The Odeon cinema in Park Lane, Mansfield, will receive the upgraded screen that will allow viewers to watch new films in 2D or 3D, and with improved sound. IMAX is a system of high-resolution camera, film formats and film projectors. The new cinema screen will have 130 recliner seats and will open to the public on November 13. The cinema – which Odeon took over from the ABC Cinemas chain in 2000 – has eight screens which are wheelchair friendly and audio description is available in one of the screens.
