The AMC Cocowalk 8 opened in 1990 as an eight screen complex inside the trendy Cocowalk shopping and entertainment complex, this was an immediate success and the whole Coconut Grove area was forever altered by the success of the Cocowalk Center. In 1994 AMC added eight more screens just as Cobb was opening the Mayfair 10 across the street.
It was closed by AMC in September 2009, but was reopened on June 4, 2010 as the Paragon Grove 13. Three of the screens are 3D equipped. It was taken over by Cinepolis on January 1, 2015. It was closed for renovations in January 2020.
