The HiWay Theatre opened October 22, 1946 with “Northwest Mounted Police”. It was located in a shopping center and had a long lobby, with the walls lined with posters.
The HiWay Theatre closed in 1977 and the frontage was severely remodeled. The auditorium was used for storage before it was demolished in 2004.
