Fishkill Drive-In

The Fishkill Drive-In opened June 16, 1949 with Bud Abbott & Lou Costello in “Buck Privates” & Randolph Scott in “‘Gung Ho!’:The Story of Carlson’s Makin Island Raiders”. It was later operated by the Brandt chain according to the 1951 and 1953 Film Daily Yearbooks. It closed in 1983 and has been replaced by the Shop Rite Plaza.

I think 1983 was the last year this drive-in was open.

Opened with “Buck privates” and “Gung Ho”. Closed in 1983. Demolished(date unknown?). The site is now a supermarket(shop Rite), a closed down video library(Blockbuster), Key Bank, and PetCo.
