The Mayfair Theater was opened by 1940. It was part of the N.D. Dipson circuit in the 1950’s and early-1960’s.

As a young child I lived nearby in a small development called Pleasanton. Probably from about 1945 until about 1950. I remember my mother and I would walk to the Mayflower Theater. This is where I first saw “The Wizard of Oz” Probably about 1948. Made a lasting impression on this 5 y.o. I remember all movies being preceded with a fast paced news-reel. Tom Charlton
