Theater site is now a parking lot as of 2019-ish.
The first four screens opened on December 22nd, 1982. Grand opening ad posted.

As planned the Cinedome 8 showed it’s last films on Thursday November 8, 2012. On the next day, November 9, Cinemark’s 12 screen Century Napa Valley at South Napa Marketplace, a couple of miles away, had it’s official grand opening. No plans for future use of the Cinedome have been announced but it seems unlikely that it will ever be used as a motion picture theatre again.

The domes at the Cinedome are much smaller than the domes in San Jose. Also according to their website Cinemark still plans on building a theatre in Napa to replace the Cinedome.
They have now have 3-D in one of the auditoriums. Most screens have a slight curve. This place is the only theatre in town. Someday some new chain will come into Napa and see this place is a gold mine and open a better state of the art cinema. Great city for a small art theatre as many movies don’t play in a town that only has one company running the whole show. I am surprised the Syufy’s have not cut the Napa domes in half to make more money like they did many years ago to some of their domes in San Jose CA. Napa CA has a lot of $$$ and the locals like to spend it. A wine & food cinema will bring in the people in town that want to get away from all their vineyards.
Correction: auditorium 6 is the second largest. Auditorium 1 is a small auditorium directly across the hallway from 6.
Per the attendant at the box office this evening, the seating capacities for the eight auditoriums (though not necessarily in this order) are as follows: 353, 168, 167, 85, 123, 327, 105, 83 = 1411 total seats. I believe the high number (353) is for auditorium 8, and the next highest (327) is for auditorium 1.
