The last movie I saw there was Avatar: The Way of Water, back in December. Let’s hope they add an IMAX screen to another one of their locations in the area, preferably before Dune Part 2 opens this fall.

Chesterfield, MO: AMC Classic Chesterfield 14 Closed [May 19, 2023]
The theatre closed on May 18, 2023 at 10:54 PM.
Purchase of the mall has been completed, but a theater is in the plans released by the new owners, so, there’s not as great of a danger of it closing.

Not sure what this will mean for the theater, but the mall as a whole has a new owner, and there are plans for redevelopment.

Per AMC’s website this is now branded as the AMC Classic Chesterfield 14
March 31st, 2006 grand opening ad in photo section. Kyle, Also the same ad for the theatre in Tustin and as well as the AMC Y & D 24 in Toronto.
The IMAX Screen was installed in June of 2011. I am an employee at this theatre currently, I’ll get some pictures of the theatre up in the next couple of days :)
It should be noted that one of the screens is an IMAX theater. Not sure how long it’s been there, since I only went to that particular theater for the first time this year. Before then, I had not been to an AMC since the Regency in St Charles closed.
All the AMC’s built in the late 2000’s look the same.
What’s interesting is…my wife and I went here in June 2009 to see The Proposal, while we were visiting. We were also impressed with the theater, but couldn’t help but notice that the decor looked EXACTLY like the new AMC Theater in Tustin, CA, which is near where we live. I mean it was almost exactly the same!! Found that a little odd, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
I saw My Bloody Valentine 3D here when it came out in January 2009. It was expensive (probably because it was in 3D) but I was very impressed by the new theater in the mall!
