In January 1921 Leo Zaropine opened the Travis Theatre and in less than a year sold it to Claude Musselman of Paris Texas in September 1921. One year later in September 1922 H.C. Houston who was operating the Gym Theatre purchased the Travis Theatre. The theater then sold one more time to H.O. Jones who ran it for a couple of years and permanently closed it in 1926.
