The Gay Theatre was a neighbourhood theatre situated in Aberdeen on the southern side of the Hong Kong Island. It opened to business on 3rd August 1954, and showed selected films until its closure in mid-1970’s.

Its 900-seat air-conditioned auditorium with stalls and dress circle had a stage and a wide screen suitable for showing Cinemascope films. Besides showing films and stage performances, regional functions were always held at the theatre.

A residential building was built on the site of the theatre.
