This theatre opened as the Roxy Theatre in 1947. The name change took place in 1950. Seating was 468 for both thatres. The Blaine was still listed as open in 1957.
I am from Chinook, Montana and I worked at The Blaine Theatre while in high school (1976-79). As far as I know, The Blaine Theatre was open until around 1980 or 81. Leon Eliason was the owner of both The Blaine Theatre and The Red Rock Drive In. The old theatre is now The Blaine County Wildlife Museum.
Billboard, September 1981: “Warren Gavin has sold the Blaine Theatre, Chinook, Montana to Thomas and Ronald Gruss, who will be doing business as ABM Center.”
