The Enid Drive-In was opened on April 9, 1948 with Robert Taylor in “High Wall”. It was operated by Griffith Theatres. The Enid Drive-In was a 618 car capacity outdoor theatre. By 1955 it was operated by Video Independent Theaters Inc. It was demolished in the 1990’s and by 2016 the site remains an empty lot.

Never got to the Enid Drive-In (no car!). I do remember it – that was really the end of an era. It’s still standing?
