The Webb Theatre was opened April 15, 1942, and was still open in 1950. By January 1958 it had been re-named Cine Webb and was still open in August 1974 under SBC Management Corp.

I believe it’s demolished, the property is now a bunch of strip malls.
Demolished in 1983.
As the contributor of the photograph I would like it noted that the photo is the copyrighted work of Robert Haiko. This was previously unknown and I would like to give him the credit he deserves for taking this excellent picture of a Cinema Treasure that previously was only a memory.
This opened on April 15th, 1942. Grand opening ad in the photo section.

I grew up in Wethersfield right up the street from this amazing theater. The inside was beautiful, I still remember the red velvet curtains so well and the concession counter with popcorn and candy we couldn’t wait to get our hands on. We were careful too, because this theater felt like something that would be in NY city, not our quiet little hometown. I wish their were pics of the inside but I’m happy to see this. Such a big mistake closing and demolishing this landmark.
