Located on the southern end of Wardour Street, between Shaftesbury Avenue and Coventry Street, in Chinatown in the heart of London’s West End.
The Playboy Cinema Club was one of many sex cinemas operating in the area in the late-1970’s. Operating as a cinema club screening uncensored adult films. It was opened on 15th March 1976 on the ground floor of the building, and closed in the early-1980’s.
By 2021 it was in use as Mr Wu Chinese Restaurant.
