The Capitol Theatre was opened on May 7, 1921 with Wallace Reid in “The Love Special”. It was built for and operated by Famous Players. It continued to operate until at least 1971.

June 1 1971 on its 4th week is “PRETTY MAIDS ALL IN A ROW”.Billed locally as Violent and Sexy.I thought it was Funny.

The cinema closed on the evening of April 16, 1972, with its final film being “The Godfather.”
