Opened on 14/6/1965 with “Circusworld”, “Surf party”, and “Psycho”.

The 24 was my 1st job after being a paper boy. Got a job there cleaning up the lot after school. When I became 16 and had a car I worked inside as a cook. They had a lot of great “Ride In” events. And Every Thursday morning before school I went out and changed the marquee for the upcoming weekend movies. It was even my voice you heard on the answering machine when you called in. Good Times.

I uploaded some scans from my visit in 1992. I also uploaded two pics from 2009 to compare where the sign was, then using the fire hydrant as a reference, to compare where the entrance was. It’s no longer empty land.
