Opened by Showcase/National Amusements on August 27, 1999. It has Dolby sound and stadium seating. It was taken over by Rave Motion Picture Theatres in December 2009. In June 2013 it was taken over by Cinemark. The theatre was closed (along with all others countrywide) due to the Covid-19 Pandemic on March 17, 2020. In June 2020 Cinemark destroyed the screens and removed equipment as they were not planning to reopen the cinema. The theatre and the mall it was located in were demolished in February, 2024.

Showcase opened its Eastfield Mall location on August 22, 1999. Cinemark closed the Easfield Mall 16 along with most of its other theaters on March 17, 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The chain made the closure permanent in June of 2020. According to the Mall, the cinema operator destroyed the screens and dumped exhibition gear to ensure that any future theatrical operator would have a more challenging time operating at the mall.
