THE Skyway Drive-in parked 566 cars in Erie making it the largest Drive in in the late 50’s. It was owned by Co-Op.They owned several Drive ins in that state.

The Skyway Drive-in was the nicest drive-in theater in Erie. It was located on West Lake Road. This theater was not far from The Peninsula Drive-in the newest drive-in with dual screens. Which was located across from Waldameer Amusement Park.Other nearby theaters were The Star Drive-in on 12th Street near Pittsburgh Ave, Cinema World with 4 screens on Pittsburgh Ave an indoor theater near 15th Street and Dipson’s Plaza on West 8th Street near Pittsburgh Ave.This too being an indoor unit.
