Located in the east London district of Poplar, on East India Dock Road at the corner of Pekin (Saracen) Street. The Gaiety Picture Playhouse opened in 1912.
Operated by Poplar Cinemas Ltd. through its entire life, it was renamed Gaiety Cinema by 1935. It operated until around August 1940, when it destroyed by German bombs.
Housing has been built on the site.
