The 12 screen Capitol Cinemas opened on June 23, 1995 with seating given at 1,675. The Cinemas had all the amenities of a modern multiplex. The Theatre was owned by Capitol Cinemas Inc.

The theatre closed on February 25, 2007. The building now houses and Office Max, Rec Room and other retail.
