The Middleboro Drive-In was a large 1,100 car drive-in on Route 44 in Middleborough, MA which opened by 1958. Later renamed Meadowbrook Drive-In, it was closed on August 12, 1982 with Henry Thomas in “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” & Burt Reynolds in “Smokey and the Bandit”. The screen still stands, as well as the remains of the snack bar/projection booth.

Ok, this is nearly 4 years too late but blu_tango, that picture you have is of the Sutton Motor-In 110 Worcester Providence Turnpike, Sutton, MA 01590. It has an entry on CT as well.
Thanks anyway Tom, for your kind answer. In fact finally, 4 years ago, I found the Sutton and took some polaroid pictures. Actually now it forms part of a series of abandoned movie theaters in US and Europe called “Until further notice”. You can see some of the pictures here: http://www.osvaldohopfer.com/ :)
The Meadowbrook Drive-In’s opening date in the 1950s has not been found yet, but it looks like it closed on August 12, 1982 with “E.T.” and “Smokey And The Bandit”.
